Conference Venue

Sawela Lodge is a serene lakeside retreat set along the southern shores of Lake Naivasha in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. Surrounded by lush gardens, scenic landscapes, and refreshing lake breezes, the lodge offers a peaceful and relaxing environment ideal for leisure, business, and special events. Its well-designed rooms, leisure facilities, and unique amenities each carry their own character, creating a memorable and enriching experience for every guest who visits Sawela Lodge.

Expected Participants

The conference targets about 400 delegates comprising National Government, County Government, Medical Practitioners, Academia, Media, International delegates, Development Partners, Civil Society Organizations and many more.

Transport Arrangement and Arrival at Lake Naivasha Sawela Lodge

All delegates teams will be expected to make their own transport arrangements. If required, the Secretariat will assist to identify appropriate vehicles for hire.

Driving

  • The distance between Nairobi and Naivasha is approximately 92 km, and it takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to drive from the Kenya’s capital city.
  • The distance between Kisumu and Naivasha is approximately 170 km, and it takes about 4 hours to drive.

Weather and Climate in Naivasha

In April, Naivasha has cool and wet weather, with about 150 mm of rainfall spread over roughly 20 days. Daytime temperatures average 23°C, while mornings and evenings can drop to around 13°C, giving a mean monthly temperature of about 18°C.

Hotel Reservations

The Conference cost will ONLY cover lunch and the two teas which will be served at the Conference venue.

Participants are advised to book their accommodation directly with their preferred hotels using the contacts provided.

Parking

Ample parking will be available at the Kamel Park Hotel.

Name Tags and Accreditation
> NEC, Registered and paid-up delegates and the secretariat will pick their already printed tags at the registration desk on 14th April, 2026 early morning.
> Any other person not listed above including Speakers, sponsors, Rapporteurs etc. will be registered onsite and will be issued with name tags.
> All Participants are required to wear their designated badges throughout the conference period.

PLEASE NOTE: All delegates will pass through the cashier’s desk, get a clearance receipt and then proceed to the registration desk.

Security
All participants will be screened,
There will be dedicated ushers to assist with logistics at the event.

Health and Safety
The conference secretariat has organized for first aid services with the hotel. Kindly note the Secretariat will only cater for minor medical cases and emergency evacuations will be facilitated where necessary and at the delegates cost. Delegates will cater for their medical bills if hospitalized.

Meals
From 14th to 16th, the participants will be provided with lunch and the teas which will be covered in the Conference fee.

Conference Payment

The Secretariat will not be accepting any cash payments at the Conference venue.
