Mandate
To advocate for equitable access to sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), with a focus on evidence-based policy, inclusive services, and elimination of barriers to care.

The Reproductive Health Committee (RHC) envisions a Kenya with all women enjoying and accessing sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) to the fullest extent possible.
To advocate for and ensure that policies, services, information and research on SRHR are people friendly and equitable to all irrespective of gender, age, social, cultural, religious and or economic class diversity.

Objectives
- Engage legislators, stakeholders and development partners on reproductive health legislation and service delivery.
- Advocate for policies that promote equitable and inclusive access to SRHR services.
- Support members working in the field of reproductive health.
- Promote research and education on SRHR among members and the public.
- Identify and recommend solutions to barriers limiting access to reproductive health services.
- Reduce gender-based violence and coercion including female genital mutilation, rape and other sexual offences.
- Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities, including grants, partnerships, sponsorships and donor funding, for projects that align with the Committee's mandate.
Convener
Dr. Diana Mwango Ratemo
Dr. Diana Ratemo is an Obstetrics and Gynaecology resident at the University of Nairobi (Kenyatta National Hospital). She also serves in the public health sector with the County Government of Kisii and has a strong interest in reproductive, maternal and women's health.
Dr. Ratemo is actively involved in clinical practice, research and professional leadership, with particular interests in improving reproductive health outcomes, strengthening health systems and advancing evidence-based care. She is committed to promoting equitable access to quality reproductive health services and supporting initiatives that enhance the wellbeing of women and families across Kenya.
Within the Kenya Medical Association, Dr. Ratemo currently serves as Convenor of the Reproductive Health Committee, where she seeks to foster collaboration among healthcare professionals, advocate for reproductive health priorities and contribute to the advancement of policies and programs that improve health outcomes nationwide.
Dr. Ratemo is actively involved in clinical practice, research and professional leadership, with particular interests in improving reproductive health outcomes, strengthening health systems and advancing evidence-based care.
