The Physician Well-being Committee

About

The Physician Well-being Committee is dedicated to promoting the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being of all doctors in Kenya as we champion for their welfare holistically.

The committee addresses critical issues that impact the overall health of doctors such as doctor burnout, stress, mental health challenges, lack of adequate adversity quotient and the elusive work-life balance.

It advocates for the implementation of wellness programs, provides resources such as virtual webinars on Mental & Occupational Health, Physical exercise and Games - soccer, golf, team building activities, the KMA Choir etc and works to create a supportive community within the medical profession to ensure physicians thrive both personally and professionally.

Vision:
To cultivate a culture of holistic well-being among doctors ensuring they experience fulfillment, resilience, and balance in their professional and personal lives.

Mission:
To empower Kenyan Doctors by fostering a supportive environment that prioritizes their well-being, enabling them to provide optimal care to patients while maintaining their own health and vitality. We stand on the Mantra - Physician Heal Thyself!
